Fifty Nazarian College Students Inducted into Prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society
The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics welcomed 50 new members to the college’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter during a Dec. 9 recognition ceremony at Bookstein Hall.
Nazarian College Dean Chandra Subramaniam, Faculty Advisor Valerie Flugge and Student President Jocelyn Balderrama attended the event.
Each semester, Nazarian College’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter invites the top 10 percent of undergraduate business students and the top 20 percent of graduate business students to join the prestigious international honor society. Membership in Beta Gamma Society is the highest recognition a business student can receive from a business program accredited by AACSB International.
There are currently more than 600 collegiate chapters of the academic honor society with over 900,000 members across 190-plus countries. Beta Gamma Sigma has three levels of honors for chapters: Highest Honors, High Honors and Honors.
Nazarian College’s Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter has attained “Highest” Honors Status for the past several years.
