Nazarian College Expands Coursera Learning for Students
Nazarian College has expanded its partnership with Coursera, providing students with enhanced access to hundreds of online courses and industry-recognized certificates as part of its award-winning Professional Education Beyond a Degree initiative.
The expanded offering helps students build in-demand skills and earn credentials from industry leaders, including Google, Meta and IBM, alongside their academic studies. The Coursera platform offers flexible, self-paced learning opportunities in high-demand areas, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, project management, digital marketing, leadership and business strategy.
The expanded offering also provides faculty with access to a broad library of learning resources that may be used to support instruction and experiential learning opportunities.
“College degrees train students to think critically, develop intellectually and prepare for lifelong learning,” says Chandra Subramaniam, dean of Nazarian College. “We also believe that the university is a great place to teach industry and workplace-related skills by integrating professional skills into our curriculum.”
Through Coursera, students can develop practical workplace skills and earn credentials that enhance their resumes and LinkedIn profiles. The enhanced partnership includes access to three distinct learning catalogs:
- Career Academy most closely reflects the disciplines, subjects and content of Nazarian College’s academic and co-curriculum programs. Students have access to more than 90 programs and professional certificates in specializations such as cybersecurity, data analytics, marketing analytics and project management.
- Future of Work focuses on hard, soft and technical skills development, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation and other emerging workplace capabilities.
- Project Network offers short, hands-on skill development that can be completed in one to two hours. These guided projects help learners build job-ready skills using industry tools, such as Python, Excel and SQL, while simulating experiential learning.
The Coursera resources are available at no cost to all active Nazarian College students, faculty and staff through their CSUN login credentials and email addresses.
