Nazarian College Awards $375K in Scholarships

Nazarian College awarded nearly $375,000 in scholarships to 251 students across two celebrations recognizing student achievement and donor support.

At the annual Scholarship Dinner this spring, the college awarded nearly $265,000 to 170 students. Department chairs introduced donor-funded awards, and students like Janeth Martinez shared how these scholarships allow them to focus on their studies.

The following day, the Department of Accounting awarded 81 scholarships totaling more than $110,000 to accounting majors.

Dean Chandra Subramaniam emphasized the transformative role of donor support during the celebrations.

“Scholarships not only recognize and honor our students’ achievements, but they also provide them with the opportunity to reduce the number of hours they are working,” said Subramaniam. 

He also noted that donor support provides encouragement and reinforces students’ belief in their academic and professional goals.
