Dr Abrol is awarded a 1-year NSF POSE grant

Dr Abrol has been awarded a NSF grant, titled “POSE: Phase I: Pathway to iCn3D-based Open-Source Ecosystem for Collaborative Research and Education in Mechanistic Biology”. The grant is to support further development of the open source 3D molecular structure viewer iCn3D into software with more features. The grant is for one year, and is worth $200,000 in direct costs. The figure above illustrates the triangle connecting open science, open data, and open source software in shareable protein structure/function analysis and visualization enabled by iCn3D.
