The Minehan lab is awarded an NSF RUI grant

Dr. Minehan has been awarded an NSF RUI, titled “Exploring the utility of antiparallel triplex-forming CNA dimers as sequence-specific.” The project will explore the development of DNA major-groove binding compounds that can directly compete with transcription factors, activators, and repressors for their binding sites to regulate gene expression by small-molecule therapeutics. It is worth $345,248 over three years and will support undergraduate and graduate student researchers. Congratulations, Dr. Minehan!
