Collaborative work between the Abrol lab and Cedars-Sinai may provide transformative brain tumor treatment

The Abrol Lab has contributed to collaborative work with Cedars-Sinai titled “ Systemic HER3 ligand-mimicking nanobioparticles enter the brain and reduce intracranial tumour growth”, that appeared on Feb 21, 2025 in Nature Nanotechnology. The CSUN contributors of this work include former BS Biochemistry student Simoun Mikhael, former MS Biochemistry student Romny Sanchez, and former BS Biology student Erik Serrano. This research has been funded by the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program Expansion Award. The work was also featured on the Cedars-Sinai news site titled “Lab Study Shows Tumor-Invading Protein Delivers Therapy Straight to the Brain”.
