Nazarian College Partners with Valley Business Leaders

Nazarian College joined regional business, government and community leaders at the Valley Economic Alliance’s annual business summit on Jan. 12 at California State University, Northridge, underscoring its active role in supporting the San Fernando Valley’s economic growth and workforce development.

Dean Chandra Subramaniam welcomed attendees, emphasizing the college’s commitment to high academic standards combined with experiential learning that ensures students are prepared to start contributing on day one of their careers.

The summit featured panels on workforce challenges across sectors, emphasizing issues like workforce health, housing and long-term workforce sustainability. 

CSUN President Erika Beck delivered the presidential address, highlighting the university’s role in preparing students for the future workforce and noting that California will face a shortage of more than 1.1 million bachelor’s degrees by 2030. 

The event reinforced Nazarian College’s focus on career preparation, employer engagement and supporting economic vitality in the San Fernando Valley.
