Nearly 30 Nazarian College Alumni Named to Top 100 Accountants’ List
Nearly 30 graduates of Nazarian College were named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top 100 Accountants of 2026 list.
The annual event was held on May 20 at the Lumen West LA rooftop, bringing together top accounting professionals from across the region.
In opening remarks, Los Angeles Business Journal’s Eva Juse noted the “incredibly competitive” selection process for this year’s honorees.
“After reviewing an outstanding group of nominations, we are honored to recognize an exceptional Class of 2026 honorees,” she said.
Nearly one-third of the accountants on the prestigious list are graduates of Nazarian College.
Rafael Efrat, Bookstein Chair in Taxation and accounting professor, represented the college at the event and congratulated the honorees.
“I’m pleased to be here tonight to celebrate our accounting leaders,” he said.
Efrat also highlighted key achievements of the college’s accounting program, including strong enrollment despite national declines, nearly $200,000 scholarships awarded to more than 100 accounting students, and nationally ranked experiential learning programs, such as the No. 1 VITA Clinic.
He also noted the college’s industry impact, sharing that 27 percent of managing partners at Los Angeles’ Top 100 accounting firms are Nazarian College graduates.
“Thank you for representing our university and college so well,” Efrat said. “And to all of tonight’s honorees, thank you for your service to the profession.”
