Nazarian College Inducted 53 Students Into Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society
The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics recently welcomed 53 students into its Beta Gamma Sigma chapter, honoring them for exceptional academic achievement.
The ceremony was led by Dean Chandra Subramaniam, faculty advisor Valerie Flugge, and student leaders, including Student President Jia Ni Chong, Director of Events Julio Donis and Director of Membership & Marketing Thwon Yati Oo (Hazel).
Subramaniam congratulated the students for their commitment to excellence and highlighted the chapter’s continued Highest Honors Status, the most prestigious level of recognition Beta Gamma Sigma awards to its chapters. “This continued recognition is a testament to the leadership of Professor Valerie Flugge and the outstanding efforts of our student officers,” Subramaniam noted.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is offered only to students from the top 5 percent of business schools that have been accredited by AACSB International—the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Only undergraduate students whose academic records place them in the top 10 percent of Nazarian College and who also have a 3.8 G.P.A. or higher are eligible to join the college’s chapter. Graduate students must be in the top 20 percent of their class.
“It is always a pleasure to celebrate students who have demonstrated extraordinary academic excellence,” said Flugge. “Beta Gamma Sigma is more than an honor; it provides international networking opportunities and helps students build the skills needed for long-term professional success.”
