Joseph Aceves wins a CSUN Distinguished Thesis award
Joseph Aceves, a MS Biochemistry student in the lab of Dr. Abrol, has been awarded a Distinguished Thesis prize for his thesis, titled “pH-dependent dissociation and HER3/ErbB3 binding mechanisms of HPK2.0: A targeted protein delivery vehicle for HER3-driven cancer therapy”. This is a prestigious honor, given to just four graduate students each year from the entire campus, and comes with a $1,500 cash prize. The criteria used in making the selection included the quality of his graduate thesis, its potential for publication in his field, and other strengths reflected in the supporting letters. The award committee mentioned that Joseph’s thesis was, in fact, the top submission among all the colleges at the university. Congratulations, Joseph! We are very proud of your accomplishments!
