CSUN Awarded Adobe for All Grant

CSUN has been awarded the Adobe for All grant through a collaborative partnership between the First-Year Writing Program, Faculty Development, and Academic Technology.

The first-year writing courses often serve a diverse population of first-generation, multilingual, and historically underserved students. By integrating Adobe Express in teaching and learning, this will encourage faculty and students to move beyond traditional essays to include digital storytelling, visual rhetoric, and creative expression.

A key strength of the grant funds is to focus on development and training. Academic Technology will lead training on Adobe Express, while Faculty Development will support assignment design and accessibility. Faculty will participate in hands-on workshops, consultations, and ongoing learning communities.

Students will learn academic conventions on how to create content that reflects their identities, experiences, and perspectives. By engaging students in multimodal communication, digital storytelling, and Adobe tools, this program strengthens workforce readiness by developing in-demand skills in digital literacy, creative problem-solving, and professional communication.

Launching in Summer 2026, the initiative will roll out in Fall 2026 and expand in Spring 2027, reaching over 1,000 students in its first year. Faculty will be supported through training, workshops, in-class presentations, and shared resources to ensure sustainable implementation.

This grant positions CSUN as a leader in inclusive, creative, and technology-enhanced learning empowering students to find their voice in a digital world.
