Nazarian College Awards $411K in Scholarships to 230+ Students
Last week, the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics awarded nearly $411,000 in scholarships to more than 230 students across two celebrations of donor support and student achievement.
Collegewide Scholarship Dinner: At its annual scholarship dinner on April 30 at the Odyssey Restaurant, the college awarded almost $200,000 to just under 100 students. Department chairs from six of the college’s seven academic units introduced each donor-funded award, and students like Sakura Divecchio shared how these scholarships allow them to focus on their studies and graduate more quickly. You can read the full story of that event here.
Accounting Department Ceremony: The next day, the Department of Accounting recognized 133 accounting majors with $210,702 in scholarships:
• Largest award: Public Company Accounting Oversight Board –$15,000 to the top recipient.
• Noski Family Award: Five students each received a scholarship that applies directly to tuition so they can focus on their studies instead of working to support themselves or their families. The award underscores the Noski family’s vital support of accounting excellence.
Together, these events demonstrate Nazarian College’s ongoing commitment to removing financial barriers and recognizing outstanding achievement across every department.
