Calling For Student Presentation Submissions for the ‘Transformative Sociology Conference’ at CSUN

We have exciting news to share. The CSUN Department of Sociology presents the Transformative Sociology Conference being held on Monday, April 28, 2025.

This on campus conference is a vibrant showcase of student-led research, poster boards, and art exhibits across three dedicated rooms. This event serves an instructional function by enabling students—both presenters and attendees—to learn from each other’s work, refine research skills, and gain practical presentation experience.

Additionally, various campus centers will be tabling at the conference, highlighting resources and illustrating how organizations meet the needs of various stakeholders, thus deepening students’ understanding of sociology’s real-world applications. By engaging in active dialogue, exploring one another’s projects, and connecting with the campus center’s offerings, participants gain valuable insights and strengthen their academic and professional competencies.

If you would like to participate, submit a 300-word abstract on a topic related to Transformative Sociology. Please submit the abstract via this Qualtrics link or scan the QR code from the flyer.

All accepted presentations will receive an honorarium! Submissions are due by Friday, March 28th.

We look forward to receiving your submissions!
