Doing Research: A Practical Guide for Health Professionals

CSUN Nursing Faculty Emeritus, Martha Highfield, Ph.D., R.N., provides a user-friendly, step-by-step summary of how to do clinical research in her new textbook, A Practical Guide for Health Professionals. Published by Springer Press, the book explains the basics of research—what constitutes quality research and what does not.  She helps users find out where to start, and how to know when research is complete. “The purpose of the book is to empower curious clinicians who want data-based answers,” Highfield writes in the book’s preface.
