Entrepreneurship Center to Host Sunstone CSU Startup Competition
The Center for Social and Technology Entrepreneurship will host the Sunstone CSU Startup Launch Competition on May 8 in the University Student Union at California State University, Northridge.
Students and recent graduates from 15 CSU campuses will compete for $200,000 in seed funding, showing ventures in AI and digital technology, health and wellness, consumer products, services and social impact.
The event will feature two competitive phases, beginning with a trade show-style expo in which teams present their ventures to more than 30 judges, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and business leaders.
The event is open to the public and will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. Programming begins at 9 a.m. with the first-place track winner announced at 1:30 p.m. followed by second- and third-place winners and the audience choice award at 2:45 p.m.
