TUC RSP Post-award Staffing Changes

Dear Principal Investigators and Research Administrators:

We hope your fall 2024 semester is going smoothly.

I wanted to take a moment to share some updates regarding our Post-Award team.

As you may know, Vanessa Wampler transitioned to a part-time role as Senior Post-Award Analyst last year. We’re excited to announce that Marie Rillorta has officially stepped into the role of Post-Award Supervisor. Marie joined TUC in June 2022, bringing valuable experience from her previous roles as administrative support and liaison in post-award. Additionally, she is a former practicing attorney in California, holding a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loyola Marymount University. We’re pleased to have her leading our team.

We are also happy to welcome two new analysts who joined us in July:

Sabrina Quevedo is a recent graduate from CSUN’s David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, where she earned her degree in Economics, graduating cum laude as a first-generation college student. Many of you may recognize her name, as she has been with Post-Award department as a student assistant for a year and a half prior to becoming an analyst. Fun fact: Sabrina has a twin sister and is a proud dog mom to two adorable fur babies.

Rojitha Horawala-Arachchige joined us in July as a Post-Award Analyst. He graduated cum laude from CSUN’s College of Engineering and Computer Science with a degree in Computer Science and previously worked in the IT department for the College of Health and Human Development. Rojitha, or RJ, is an avid coffee drinker and is multilingual, speaking Japanese, Sinhala, and English.

In the coming weeks, we will be finalizing the liaison assignments. But in the meantime, Sabrina has joined the crew to be one of the Post-Award liaisons:
