Inclusive Schools Week: December 8–12

This week, schools, families, and communities across the nation are celebrating Inclusive Schools Week, a time to recognize efforts that help every student feel welcomed and supported. This year’s theme, “Children First: Building a Stronger Tomorrow,” highlights the importance of prioritizing student well-being and belonging so all children can learn and thrive.

Inclusive education strengthens school communities. Simple actions—like promoting kindness, recognizing each child’s strengths, and encouraging meaningful participation—help create environments where all learners feel valued.

If your child has a disability or unique learning needs, they may qualify for services through your local Regional Center.

Esta semana es la Semana de Escuelas Inclusivas: 8 al 12 de diciembre

Esta semana, escuelas, familias y comunidades en todo el país celebran la Semana de Escuelas Inclusivas, un tiempo para reconocer los esfuerzos que ayudan a que cada estudiante se sienta bienvenido y apoyado. El tema de este año, “Los niños primero: construyendo un mañana más fuerte,” destaca la importancia de priorizar el bienestar y el sentido de pertenencia para que todos los niños puedan aprender y prosperar.

La educación inclusiva fortalece a las comunidades escolares. Acciones sencillas—como promover la amabilidad, reconocer las fortalezas de cada niño y fomentar su participación significativa—crean entornos donde todos los estudiantes se sienten valorados.
