Elementary Education Faculty Receive BranchED Grant to Develop CSUN Literacy Task Force

Dominic Grasso and Jessica Clifton have recently been awarded a $100,000 grant from BranchED to re-design their credential level literacy courses in the Elementary Education Department. The grant will support the development of a CSUN literacy task force, who will work over Spring and Summer 2026 to revise and re-design their credential level literacy courses (477a/520 & 477b/577) with emphasis on: evidence aligned literacy instruction, universal screeners, early literacy skills, mixed reality simulation, and working with families.
