As part of the Teach Living Poets initiative, this reading and talk will feature poets David Trinidad and Amy Gerstler. Trinidad is an alum of CSUN’s English Department who went on to publish widely and teach at Columbia College Chicago. Trinidad also founded Sherwood Press which first published co-reader Amy Gertler’s poetry. This reading will provide students with an opportunity to engage with the richness of Trinidad’s various reclamations as well as reconnecting them with one of the literary lineages of CSUN’s Department of English.
