Congratulations to Dr. Traci Dennis (Secondary Education) on her upcoming presentation entitled “Advancing Authentic Writing in the Age of AI” at the 2026 CATE (California Association of Teachers of English) Conference.

“The session is designed to prepare educators to cultivate the genius of student writers, ignite student joy versus fear or trepidation when writing and build a strong writing community of students who identify as writers. These actionable and authentic approaches can be used to support students in developing their own skills and passion for writing without relying on AI tools. The three concrete strategies introduced can be modified and adapted for use with all grade levels.”
