CSUN Honors Trailblazing Matadors at 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards
Congratulations to Carmen Estrada Schaye, Ph.D. (’79 M.A. Ed Psych Counseling), who has been selected and has accepted to be one of the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards honorees. This prestigious honor recognizes her outstanding achievements and contributions, reflecting the excellence of our college and CSUN as a whole.
“Each year, the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Awards brings alumni, faculty, staff and supporters together to celebrate the accomplishments of our exemplary alumni. This year’s outstanding alumni honorees represent CSUN’s core values of service, leadership, academic excellence and collective pride in their alma mater.
Carmen Estrada Schaye ’75 (Sociology); M.A. ’79 (Education Psychology Counseling), M.A. ’85 Chicana/o Studies – Mexican-American Studies), a distinguished leader whose public service includes roles with the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, and multiple Los Angeles County commissions, has excelled as an educator, administrator, and innovator, founding award-winning student success programs and serving in influential civic and political leadership positions. Today, she leads Historic Home Restorations and co-owns Grant Rivers Productions, continuing her legacy of impact across education, business and the arts.”
