The CSUN Wind Ensemble brings the brilliance with a concert celebrating the vibrant sounds of Mexican band music. This program spotlights an exciting new generation of composers — Nubia Jaime-Donjuan, Omar Arellano Osorio, and Natalia Quintanilla Cabrera — whose works sparkle with energy and a deep love for the concert band tradition. The night builds to a thrilling finale with H. Owen Reed’s iconic symphonic showpiece, La Fiesta Mexicana—a vibrant, full-force celebration that brings the concert to a blazing close.
