The CSUN Symphony starts the academic year with an electrifying concert featuring the rhythms and sounds of Spain and Cuba. In honor of the 100th birthday of CSUN emeritus faculty member Aurelio de la Vega, the orchestra will perform his intense and colorful work “Intrata”. Guest conductor and composer Yalil Guerra will join us for his full orchestra version of “Clave.” The program also includes a work by Amadeo Roldan in addition to Chabrier’s “España.”
