Join TEMPO (The Epicenter Music Performance Organization) for a wonderful concert filled with new music. This concert features a fantastic piece for violin and clarinet by Minnesota composer, Libby Larsen titled “Tarantella for Our Time” performed by CSUN’s own faculty members, Lorenz Gamma and Julia Heinen. In addition, there are winning compositions by TEMPO’s annual Call for Scores. Featured will be Dayton Hare — ebb, flow; Anthony Iannaccone — White Water; Richard Derby — Pick a Low Note; Kolten Heeren — Scherzo; Oswald Huỳnh — Memory revises me; Luca Pasquini — Contour Intervals; and Jessica Lee — What Flickered Between the Reveries? Please join us for an evening of celebrating new music!
TEMPO (The Epicenter Music Performance Organization), dedicated to the pursuit, performance, and perseverance of contemporary music, was formed in 2008 at California State University, Northridge by Daniel Kessner and Julia Heinen. This ground-breaking ensemble seeks to promote and celebrate the rich diversity of our world through the performance of contemporary musical stories.
