Canva vs PowerPoint Design

To register via Microsoft Bookings, go to the date of the workshop and select the time in the Bookings calendar, fill in your information, then scroll down to select the red Book button.

Description: This session explores the differences between Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint in creating accessible flyers and infographics. Attendees will gain insight into how each platform supports accessibility features and design workflows. It is recommended that participants complete the introductory session, Flyers & Infographics Accessibility, beforehand to build foundational knowledge of best practices for designing accessible visual content.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the importance of designing accessible flyers and infographics
  • Assess documents for accessibility barriers and identify inaccessible elements
  • Compare and explain key accessibility features available in Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint

Recommended Attendees: Graphic Designers, Marketing Specialist, Staff, IT Specialist, Web Developers, Web Content Creators, Instructional Support, and Admin Support.

Location: Virtual event

Note: The accessibility training is for CSUN faculty, staff, student employees, and alumni.
