Join us for the keynote event of CSUN’s 56th Anniversary Africana Studies Week: “Rooted and Rising—Revitalizing Africana Studies.” Dr. Jasmin A. Young, Assistant Professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies at UC Riverside, will deliver an inspiring address that reflects on the power, purpose, and evolution of Africana Studies. Grounded in the legacy of truth, resistance, and cultural brilliance, Dr. Young’s talk will explore how revitalizing Africana Studies serves as a catalyst for community empowerment, academic innovation, and transformative change.
