Call for Proposals: HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships
Spring 2023 Announcement
HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships – CSUN College of Social & Behavioral Sciences
SBS Faculty research funding is available! Now celebrating their 10th anniversary, the HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships provide support for faculty research studies on a wide range of topics about nonprofits and philanthropy. A total of 38 Fellowship grants have been awarded since 2014.
In recognition of the 10th anniversary of these grants, the upcoming competition is making available a special $10,000 grant (with the possibility of another grant at the typical $5,000 amount). While all eligible topics will be considered (see the website for details), preference will be given to proposals that address equity and justice challenges in the nonprofit sector.
Applications for the next round of HIRI Fellowships may now be submitted, with a deadline for applications of April 30, 2023. Grants are made either for research expenses or for extra pay – due to changes in CSUN policy, release time can no longer be provided through the HIRI grants. New grants will be awarded by May 15, 2023.
Applicants must be members of the faculty of CSUN’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Faculty recipients of current HIRI awards that have not yet been completed are ineligible. Get more information about the Fellowships, and about the simple application and review process at the HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowship website.
