Bull Ring Winner Gets ‘Fast and Furious’
CSUN mechanical engineering student Jeffrey Astorga and alumnus George Aquino won first place and a $5,000 prize at the 6th Annual Bull Ring New Venture Competition with their startup, Synergy Active Aero. Their winning innovation is a universal, self-adjusting car wing that adapts to different vehicles and driving conditions, potentially giving amateur racers professional-level performance capabilities. The competition, hosted virtually by the Nazarian College of Business and Economics, featured diverse student ventures from across campus, attracting over 40 initial applications, with five teams reaching the finals to pitch their ideas to a panel of accomplished business leaders.
