On September 25, 2026, the CSUN China Institute hosted a special Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration and September Tea Talk, bringing together faculty and community members for an afternoon of learning, conversation, and celebration. The event also welcomed new Chinese faculty members who joined CSUN this fall.
The September Tea Talk featured Minle Zhang, CEO of Delight Group and a real estate finance entrepreneur with more than a decade of industry experience, who presented “Real Estate Starts with a Decision.” Drawing on his experience in mortgage lending, real estate investment, and entrepreneurship, Zhang encouraged attendees to look beyond interest rates and property prices when making major financial decisions. He emphasized the importance of understanding cash flow, preserving financial flexibility, and evaluating opportunities through a long-term perspective.

Zhang’s approach reflects his broader vision for Delight Group: building a financial services platform that connects capital, opportunity, and community. Beyond traditional mortgage lending, the group focuses on residential and commercial real estate financing, real estate-backed debt investment opportunities, and financial education—helping individuals, businesses, and investors navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape.
Equally important to Zhang is the connection between education and industry. Through engagement with universities and local communities, he hopes to expand opportunities for internships, professional mentorship, career development, and practical learning experiences that prepare the next generation of professionals.

“Finance is about more than transactions. It is about empowering people to make informed decisions, creating opportunities, and building lasting value for the communities we serve,” Zhang shared.
His visit to CSUN reflects a commitment to bringing real-world expertise into academic settings while strengthening the connections between entrepreneurship, education, and community development.

Following the Tea Talk, attendees continued the afternoon with a Mid-Autumn Festival lunch and social gathering. The celebration provided an opportunity to welcome new faculty, reconnect with colleagues, enjoy traditional food and Mid-Autumn gifts, and strengthen connections within the China Institute community. The China Institute extends its appreciation to Mr. Minle Zhang and Delight Funding for supporting the event and sharing their expertise, as well as to everyone who participated and helped make the gathering a meaningful celebration of learning, community, and the Mid-Autumn Festival
