The Bolivarian Revolution: Venezuela Before and After January 3
The Bolivarian Revolution has faced a hybrid war from U.S. imperialism since its inception in 1999, involving numerous coup attempts, sanctions, and other forms of aggression. This talk begins by examining changes and continuities within contemporary imperialism, particularly the emergence of an explicitly recolonizing agenda that threatens extermination for peoples who resist. Next, it analyzes Venezuela’s response to the most recent attack by making tactical concessions, thereby enabling the future recovery of the country’s complete sovereignty.
