Congratulations to Professor Emeritus, Patricia Miller!

We are delighted to celebrate Professor Patricia Miller’s well-deserved recognition as Professor Emerita in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures. This distinguished honor acknowledges her remarkable contributions to CSUN since 1976 and her dedication to education.

Professor Miller’s legacy includes her leadership as Director of the Barbara Ann Ward Language Center, her excellence as a Lecturer in Italian, and her pioneering work in technology-mediated language acquisition. Her extensive service to the university community from Faculty Senate to the Alumni Association has strengthened our academic environment immeasurably.

Beyond the classroom, her passion for Italian culture has enriched our campus through numerous cross-disciplinary events, film screenings, and symposiums. As a translator, consultant, and community leader, she has built meaningful bridges between academia and the broader community.
