Center for Teaching & Learning Announces Two New Professional Development Contracts with LAUSD
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has two new professional development contracts with LAUSD. The first one is for CTL to support Van Nuys Elementary (founded in 1912) and their Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teachers in conjunction with their respective classroom teachers to provide tailored instructional services to students with disabilities based upon the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team’s determination that a student’s special needs can successfully be met within the least restrictive environment.
The second contract is with five other LAUSD schools (Robert Fulton College Preparatory, Hamlin Charter Academy, Northridge Academy High School, Olive Vista Middle School, and Roy Romer Middle School) to deliver high-leverage effective strategies to reinforce the next phase of their Inclusive best practices implementation.
Over the past year, CTL has made a special effort to develop a meaningful and productive partnership with LAUSD North. It’s very exciting and rewarding when we witness this collaboration come to fruition
