RSVP to this Event

Panelists will describe the current state of funding in their areas before we open up to Q&A and general discussion. Whether you are applying to the same funding agencies or expanding to new ones, we want to think about ways to reframe our research and research narratives to match funding source priorities. This discussion is part of a larger discussion about how to move forward with research in the college. Everyone is welcome!

Guest Panelists:

  1. Sherrie Hixon, Research & Sponsored Programs on Federal Funding
  2. Paul McNamara, CSUN Foundation on Philanthropy Funds
  3. Andy Pacheco, StrengthUnited on Contracts and Multi-sourced Funding

Each session will be introduced and moderated by Alby Luchko, Contracts, Grants & Research Development Officer for CSBS. Everyone is welcome including students and staff!

Faculty Research Fund-seeking Series for Fall 2025

This four-part series aims to provide researchers with resources to continue fund-seeking after a season of changes and uncertainty. We want to consider making strategic choices and reframing our research narratives to appeal to our funding opportunities. Throughout the series, you’ll not only learn tips and templates, but also how to leverage college and campus resources to support your work.

All sessions take place in the Whitsett Room (SH451) on Thursdays at 3:30 pm.
