TEMPO opens their exciting 16th season welcoming their new flutist, CSUN faculty member, Larry Kaplan and with works by winners of their annual competition; Quenton Blache’s afloat, Devin Cholodenko’s Chasing Memory, Andrea Reinkemeyer’s Red Flame, and Tristan Wilson’s Gilding Cages. In addition, they have a very special world premiere by CSUN composer and Head of Commercial Media Writing, Kyle Simpson with his work, Omsluten av Natten (Enveloped by Night). Come and join TEMPO and the CSUN Department of Music for a season of celebrations!
TEMPO is a new music ensemble based in Los Angeles and comprised of flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano and percussion. The group routinely performs premieres and recently composed works in addition to standard works of the 20th century.
