Description: Social media platforms serve as powerful tools for outreach, engagement, and professional networking. However, without accessible practices, these platforms can exclude individuals with disabilities. This session will highlight the importance of accessibility in social media communications and provide actionable steps for ensuring content is inclusive and compliant with digital accessibility standards.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Understand how accessible practices can increase reach and engagement
  • Compare how platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok support accessibility features

Recommended Attendees: Staff, Faculty, Executives, Financial Personnel, Marketing Specialist, Business Analyst, Admin Support, Graphic Designers, and Instructional Support.
