Description: This training introduces participants to the fundamentals of creating accessible PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat. Attendees will learn how to apply proper tagging techniques to ensure PDFs meet accessibility standards and are usable by individuals with disabilities. The session also highlights the importance of preserving accessibility features during the conversion process from Microsoft Word to PDF.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how converting Word documents to PDF can preserve and enhance accessibility features
  • Explain the essential components that make a PDF document accessible
  • Evaluate converted PDFs to identify and correct common accessibility issues

Recommended Attendees: Staff, Faculty, IT Specialist, Web Developers, Web Content Creators, Graphic Designers, Instructional Support, Business Analysis, Financial Personnel, Marketing Specialist, and Admin Support
