Nonrestrictive Registration Ends, Summer 2026, Sessions 1 and 2

Nonrestrictive Registration for Summer Sessions 1 and 2 ends Monday, May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day), the day before classes begin. Enrolling online and wait-listing for closed classes continues through the deadlines below. Session 3 registration continues.

Summer Dates

Sessions 1 and 2:

• Nonrestrictive Registration ends at 11:59 p.m., May 25, 2026 (Memorial Day).
• Classes begin Tuesday, May 26.
• Last day to wait-list for closed classes: Sunday, May 31, 11:59 p.m.
• Add classes with a permission number starting: Monday, June 1.
• Last day to drop a class online: Friday, June 5.
• Last day to add with a permission number:
  —Session 1 (12 weeks): Friday, July 31.
  —Session 2 (first 6 weeks): Friday, June 19.

Session 3:

• Nonrestrictive Registration ends Tuesday, July  7.
• Classes begin Wednesday, July 8.
• Last day to wait-list for closed classes: Sunday, July 12, 11:59 p.m.
• Add classes with a permission number starting: Monday, July 13.
• Last day to drop a class online: Friday, July 17.
• Last day to add with a permission number: Friday, July 31.

About Permission Numbers

• If you are enrolling in a special, year-round cohort program, you will need a permission number to add classes at all times. Please check with your program coordinator.
• Visiting students, to add a class, please request a permission number from the instructor or the department offering the course. Contact the Tseng College for assistance.

Payment Information

• Most CSUN students: Be sure to pay state-support summer tuition and other fees by the state summer payment due dates.

• Visiting students: Refer to Tseng College (extension self support) Open University course fees. Payment is due within 72 hours of enrolling in a class through the Tseng College.
