Description:
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore a four-part process for using ChatGPT and NotebookLM as learning partners: Advisor, Librarian, Tutor, and Editor. *Learning Objectives* By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: Define a focused learning goal, current baseline, and evidence of successful learning. Use ChatGPT in the roles of Advisor, Tutor, and Editor during different stages of learning. Use NotebookLM as a Librarian to organize, explore, and learn from credible sources. Apply new knowledge to a practical work product and evaluate it against clear criteria. *Pre-Work* Before the workshop, participants should: Create or confirm access to a ChatGPT account. Create or confirm access to a NotebookLM account. Identify one non-sensitive, work-related topic or skill they would like to learn. Bring at least one credible source related to that topic, such as an official guide, policy, article, PDF, or training resource, to use in NotebookLM. Participants should not upload or enter confidential, protected, personally identifiable, or otherwise restricted CSU information into either platform.
