Launching Your Career Series: Mastering the Art of the Interview

FreeA successful interview is your opportunity to leave a lasting impression and secure the job or internship you’ve been aiming for. This workshop, part of the Launching Your Career Series, is designed to equip you with the strategies and confidence needed to excel in interviews and stand out as the ideal candidate.
During this session, you will:
- Learn key interview preparation techniques, including researching the company, understanding the role, and anticipating common questions.
- Discover how to effectively communicate your skills and experiences using structured techniques like the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
- Explore strategies to handle tough questions and showcase your problem-solving, adaptability, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Gain insights into non-verbal communication, including body language, eye contact, and professional etiquette.
- Understand the importance of asking thoughtful questions to demonstrate your interest in the role and organization.
- Practice mock interview scenarios to build confidence and receive constructive feedback.

Sasha Carter, Employee Experience Coordinator, Los Angeles Rams
Sasha Carter is starting her third season with the Los Angeles Rams as Employee Experience Coordinator. She specializes in recruiting, onboarding, relationship management, and strategic projects like data analysis. A University of Washington graduate with a degree in Anthropology, Carter also holds a Master’s in Human Resource Management from USC. She joined the Rams in 2023 as an intern, quickly making an impact. Carter focuses on fostering positive workplace culture, mentoring, and supporting the HRIS. Outside work, she enjoys concerts, reading, and exploring new restaurants with family and friends in Los Angeles.
