Summer Term 2025 classes are not in session on Thursday, June 19, 2025, and CSUN offices are closed in commemoration of the Juneteenth National Independence Day. It is the newest national holiday.
Juneteenth — also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Black Independence Day — celebrates the anniversary of the order proclaiming the emancipation of slaves in the U.S. that was delivered in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. Read more about Juneteenth.
