Daniel Shapiro is an internationally recognized pianist, chamber musician, and educator celebrated for his insightful interpretations of Beethoven, Schubert, Mozart, Schumann, and Brahms. A faculty member at the Cleveland Institute of Music for more than two decades, he has earned acclaim as both a performer and teacher, appearing in major venues throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America, including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Walt Disney Concert Hall. An accomplished chamber musician, Shapiro has collaborated with many of the world’s leading artists and ensembles, while his acclaimed recordings and complete Beethoven sonata cycles have further established his reputation as one of today’s foremost interpreters of the classical piano repertoire.
