Getting Started Creating Course Videos in Panopto

You will need to be signed into Zoom with your csun.edu or my.csun.edu email address to join.

If you are signed into the Zoom app with a different account, log out of Zoom, and select the Single Sign-On (SSO) button near the bottom. If Zoom asks for a domain enter csun, and you will be guided to CSUN’s SSO page.

Learn how to start recording your own instructional video content for your Canvas courses in Panopto! Whether it’s simply recording class lectures, lessons, activities, or demonstrations, our lecture capture team can guide you to make Panopto your primary instructional video platform for your course content.

This workshop is offered online via Zoom.

Overview of What will be Demonstrated: 

• Signing in to Panopto with CSUN Credentials  

• Start recording right away in browser or on the desktop app  

• Navigating Panopto, the video viewer, and the “My Folder” file system  

• Showing off Panopto’s simple yet versatile video editor and its accessible functions
