Equidox PDF Remediation

To register via Microsoft Bookings, go to the date of the workshop and select the time in the Bookings calendar, fill in your information, then scroll down to select the red Book button.

Description: This demo training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to make PDF documents accessible using Equidox software. Participants will explore key accessibility principles and learn how to use Equidox’s smart tools to streamline the remediation process. The Chancellor’s Office has Equidox licensed for the CSU employees. Prerequisite: Attendees are required to take the PDF Accessibility Tools before the Equidox session to understand the fundamentals of the PDF tags structure.

Learning Objectives

• Log in and navigate the Equidox interface, including the dashboard and document workspace.
• Import and organize PDF files for accessibility remediation.
• Use Smart Zones to tag and structure headings, paragraphs, images, and lists.
• Automatically detect and correct tables using the Table Detector.
• Apply appropriate alternative text (alt text) to images and non-text elements.
• Use the List Detector and Reading Order tools to enhance document navigation.

Recommended Attendees: Staff, Faculty, IT Specialist, Web Developers, Web Content Creators, Graphic Designers, Instructional Support, Business Analysis, Financial Personnel, Marketing Specialist, and Admin Support.
