SHOSTAKOVICH SYMPHONY NO. 7 “LENINGRAD”
The CSUN Symphony under the direction of conductor John Roscigno is honored to present to the greater Los Angeles area one of the most
historically, politically and socially meaningful artistic works in history, Shostakovich’s “Leningrad Symphony”. Written during one of the most
significant humanitarian and wartime crisis in history, the work would eventually become a rallying cry for the people of Leningrad with the Leningrad
performance being a significant turning point for the starving people of a city under seige.
