The CSUN Symphony brings the season to a close with Gustav Mahler’s monumental “Symphony No. 1.”

Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1

Marimba Concerto No. 5 by Chin-Cheng Lin, featuring Daniel Neufel on Marimba

“Reflections on the Great Wall” by Liu Wenjin, featuring Junhao Wu, on Erhu

The CSUN Symphony, under the direction of Dr. John Roscigno will perform Gustav Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 1 “Titan” in the Soraya on Wednesday, May 7th at 7:30 p.m.
The program will also feature student soloists Junhao Wu on Erhu and Daniel Neufeld on Marimba, who are performing works by Chinese composers. Additionally, graduate student Isaac Schanno-Johnson will conduct one of his own compositions. This is the first time the CSUN Symphony has performed a Mahler symphony in many years and it promises to be a highly charged and exciting performance!
