This event is free and open to players of any level, as well as parents. Registration is requested.
The third annual CSUN Horn Day will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM in Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall. The event will be led by French horn faculty Dylan Hart and Dr. Annie Bosler, and will feature a mass horn choir reading, masterclasses with performance opportunities, and sessions on tonguing and college preparation for music. This free event is open to players of all levels, as well as parents.
Schedule:
- 9 AM: The Art of the Tongue (Bring Your Horn) | Annie Bosler & Dylan Hart
- 10 AM: Masterclass | Annie Bosler & Dylan Hart
- 11 AM: Light Lunch (provided)
- 11:30 AM: Mass Horn Choir Reading (Bring a Folding Stand & Your Horn) | Annie Bosler & Dylan Hart
- 12:30 PM: College Prep for Musicians® Class (Open to Any Area of Music) | Annie Bosler
The event is open to horn players of any age or level, and parents are welcome to attend. You are free to come and go to events as you please. Fun prizes will be provided by Bob Reeves, Conn-Selmer, Hans Hoyer, CSUN Music, Sarah Willis, and Silver Bells Music!
