CSUN Cinematheque’s Spring 2025 series “Sacred and Profane: The Surreal Cinema of Luìs Buñuel” presents a free screening of Tristana (1970), a Spanish-French-Italian drama filmed in Toledo, marking Buñuel’s return to his native Spain after several years living and working abroad. It was nominated for Best Foreign-Language Film at the 43rd Academy Awards. Cinematheque screenings are held Wednesdays weekly at the Armer Screening Room in Manzanita Hall, and admission is free to all, no RSVP required.
