Experience AfroCentric Style: A Celebration of Blackness and Identity in Pop Culture, featuring Emmy Award-winning producer, journalist, and author Shirley Neal. This insightful discussion explores how Black culture has shaped and redefined global media narratives across film, television, fashion, and music.
Neal brings a wealth of experience and passion to this vibrant conversation, drawing from her debut solo-authored work—nominated for a 2025 NAACP Image Award—as well as her prolific career, including contributions to EBONY and FORBES AFRICA and the production of acclaimed works such as the documentary Intore.
Join us as Neal examines the dynamic intersections of cultural identity, resilience, and creativity in pop culture. This event is perfect for anyone passionate about media representation, cultural legacy, and the transformative power of Black storytelling.
