Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

On May 5th, the Chinese American Federation of Southern California (CAFSC) and the Chinese American Foundation held a grand forum at the San Gabriel Country Club to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, as well as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Distinguished guests in attendance included Chinese Consul General in Los Angeles, Guo Shaochun, and his wife, Counselor Wang Wei; U.S. Congresswoman Judy Chu; California State Treasurer Fiona Ma; Professor Min Zhou, a member of both U.S. National Academies; and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Bruce G. Iwasaki and his wife. 10 faculty and more than 10 students attended the event per the invitation.
