Welcome to the Basic Captioning course. In this class, we will use Adobe Premiere Pro’s AI-based transcription feature.
You will learn how to correct text, turn it into captions, and export the captions as an SRT file. An SRT file is a common caption format that includes text and the timing needed for it to appear on screen.
If time permits, we will also review a website that can help convert an SRT file into a VTT file, another widely used caption format that can be added to PowerPoint presentations to display captions during playback.
A folder of exercise files will be provided, including a pre-created project folder with video footage, so you can follow along step by step.

- Log into CSU Learn with your CSUN Portal credentials.

Withdraw from Session: If you need to cancel your registration, select the “Self” icon in CSU Learn. Select “Learning,” then “Registrations.” Select the box next to the session you need to cancel, and select “Cancel Registration.” In the next window, select “Confirm Cancellation.”
